AI-driven shortage is huge: the price for 32GB of DDR5 6000 RAM reached $450

The AI-driven shortage is becoming worse, and there are no signals that the price will soon go down. For instance, the average price for DDR5 6000 RAM in August of this year was approximately $400, whereas now the price has reached $450.
The price changes and retrospective review
As of now, the cheapest DDR5 6000 kit is approximately $449.97. There are still cheaper variants of 32GB DDR5 4800 at Corsair where the price is $399. However, such a kit cost only $80 not so long ago.
Because of increased RAM prices and other components, the price of PCs is directly impacted. It has recently been reported that there was a massive decline of almost 20% in PC shipments.
Combo deals are becoming a higher priority. There are several options from Newegg to save some money when ordering RAM together with an SSD, CPU, or motherboard.
Such a huge memory shortage can continue this year and even the whole next decade, so no one expects a huge decline in the price range any time soon.
