AMD published the open-source code of the SEV firmware

AMD published the source code of the AMD Secure Encrypted Virtualization (SEV) technology which is responsible for confidential computing virtual machines.
The purpose of publishing the code, according to AMD, is to achieve better transparency as well as let the customers learn more about the principle of technology’s operation.
AMD EPYC processors are widely used for confidential computing by various cloud computing providers, such as Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, and Oracle (OCI) in different configurations.
