AMD has finally unveiled a new processor that has been the subject of rumors since last year. The AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 Dual Edition is a unique solution based on two chiplets and equipped with 3D V-Cache technology.
Features of the new AMD processor
The new processor is based on a 4-nm process node and Zen 5 architecture. It features 16 compute cores and 208 MB of total cache. The compute cores operate at a frequency of 4.3 GHz, and the TDP is rated at 200 W.
The Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 will deliver higher performance compared to the previous model, particularly during large-scale code compilations and when handling creative workloads, such as in DaVinci Resolve. The increased cache size can also significantly impact performance.
The price of the new processor has not yet been announced, but it will go on sale on April 22.
