First Reviews of Intel Core Ultra 300 and the Challenge to Competitors
12:58, 27.01.2026
Early tests of the Intel Core Ultra 300 (Panther Lake) lineup predict the company’s leadership in the mobile computing segment. The flagship Core Ultra X9 388H chip demonstrated a 47% performance increase in Blender rendering tasks and outperformed previous generations by around 25%.
Integrated Battlemage GPU
The “gem” of the lineup is the Arc B390 graphics processor. It features 12 Xe3 cores with clock speeds of up to 2.5 GHz and a maximum rating of 120 TOPS. This GPU supports the latest APIs and AI frameworks, including ray tracing models.
Thanks to the Xe3 architecture, the processor outperforms previous Intel models and competitors such as the AMD Radeon 890M by 63%, while consuming only 25 W of power.
According to ComputerBase, the Arc B390 significantly outperforms the Radeon 890M in Full HD mode. Notebookcheck test results also show performance close to the GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU, again, with lower power consumption.
What This Means for the Market
Panther Lake is, first and foremost, a breakthrough in energy efficiency. Thanks to the new architecture, these processors make it possible to optimize remote and hybrid workplaces without sacrificing performance.
At HostZealot, we see this as a potential foundation for future server solutions: in the long term, these technologies could reduce cooling costs in data centers while increasing data processing speed.
