Before the annual GitHub Universe conference in San Francisco, GitHub announced Copilot Workspace, a developer environment powered by OpenAI GPT-4 Turbo.

In this environment, developers can create, structure, test, and run code in a language they are comfortable with. Developers will have full control over the process and advanced editing options.

Workspace will help to eliminate a bug or introduce a new feature, provide answers based on the analysis of repository comments, and expand the code base. The code suggested by AI can be run directly in Workspace and shared with other team members. Developers can view the code history and the steps of the process, and make their changes.

The GitHub Copilot Workspace is designed to be accessed from any device, but the release scheduled for next week will include a trial version of the Workspace that will be compatible with a select number of devices.
