Elon Musk announced the Grok 4 livestream for 8 p.m. Pacific Time on July 9th.
The model was previously announced as Grok 3.5, with access to the new AI originally planned for early May. However, circumstances changed slightly as the model required some additional improvements. As a result, the release date was changed and the model was renamed.
Special features of Grok 4
It was previously stated that the model would be able to perform tasks that were not included in the data used to train it. The model will likely be available in two versions: Grok 4 and Grok 4 Coder. The Coder version will be configured for programming.
There will be no free access; SuperGrok and X Premium subscribers will be the first to test the new model.
There has also been a leak of the model's benchmark results, which show that the main improvement is in the Humanity Last Exam. This benchmark contains many questions from various disciplines, and the answers cannot be found on Google. This test is considered the most difficult, and the result exceeds ChatGPT o3's performance by 70%.
