Japanese company Hitachi has launched a global AI factory based on Nvidia solutions to promote physical AI. With the help of physical AI, autonomous machines will be able to perform complex actions related to real-time analysis.
New approach of Hitachi
A key feature of the new approach will be the transition from AI as a software tool to an initiative that responds directly to changes in real time.
The factory will work with large amounts of information in several regions around the world. As for the systems used, the factory will operate based on Nvidia HGX B200 with Blackwell processors, as well as on Hitachi iQ M Series servers.
It is planned that the infrastructure used will allow the implementation of the latest models that will be able to process information from cameras and sensors, and simultaneously perform the necessary actions. This may refer to efficient energy networks, intelligent rail transport, or predictive maintenance of certain facilities.
For example, Hitachi's HMAX platform is already operational and is being used to optimize security and performance.
The idea behind Hitachi's new project is to combine simulation and real data to create feedback loops. The project will take place in Japan, the US, and EMEA, making it possible to achieve minimal latency.
