Intel renames Core i5-10400 to Core i5 110

Intel has revealed the Core i5 110 processor based on the Comet Lake architecture. The company plans to play on users' nostalgic feelings, as the 14nm+++ process technology line appeared five years ago and is now a symbol of an era.
The new product was released under the Core Series 1 brand, which includes embedded and mobile solutions as well as rebranded older processors.
Core i5 110 specifications
The technical specifications of the new product make it clear that this is a reissue of the older Core i5-10400 model:
- TDP 65 W
- 6 cores and 12 threads
- support for up to 128 GB DDR4-2666
- 12 MB L3 cache
- integrated Intel UHD Graphics 630
- turbo frequency - up to 4.3 GHz, base frequency - 2.9 GHz
- сompatibility with 500 and 400 series motherboards.
All specifications match the 2020 model, but the problem is that the company has already released two new sockets. Therefore, the number of users who will be able to install the new processor is very limited.
As for the price, the recommended cost is $200. This is quite controversial because classic rebranding should have lower prices due to the lack of technical improvements and updates. The company plans to promote the product as an affordable solution, but it does not provide real value.
