Features of Joomla 5.1:
- Theme Switcher. In the new version of Joomla, the dark theme is improved and now there is a theme switch from light to dark. Also, the theme can be switched due to OS settings.
- TUF updater. To ensure that updates are secure, there is now support for The Update Framework.
- SEO Update. In the SEF plugin settings, you can now remove/add a slash at the end of a URL.
- Welcome Tour. For new customers, the welcome tour will be automatic during installation.
- Jooa11y plugin has been significantly improved (version for visually impaired users).
- There is now validation of form fields with regular expressions. In this case, you need to add validate="regex" to the form XML, and don't forget validate_regex="".
- Another change in SEO settings. There is now a setting in the SEF plugin that gives the option to remove index.php.
- There is now access to 2 new plugins Article and Generic (for Schema.org).
- Changes during error handling. The update process has been improved during file recording.
- The dialog window has been replaced with a modern one.
- SVG is now displayed in mod_banners.
What has changed in Joomla 4.4.4?
There are no new features in this version, there are only about 40 improvements. Some of these improvements guarantee a smoother upgrade to version 5.
