MediaTek Introduced Dimensity 7500 Powered by Revolutionary Arm C1 Cores
12:51, 01.06.2026
MediaTek has officially introduced its next-generation processor for upper-mid-range smartphones, the Dimensity 7500. The main highlight of the new release is the transition to cores featuring a completely new architecture from Arm.
Architectural Features
Despite maintaining the 4nm process technology, the chip's internal architecture has changed. The CPU cluster now consists of 4 performance Arm C1 Pro cores (clocked at up to 2.6 GHz) and 4 energy-efficient Arm C1 Nano cores (clocked at up to 2.0 GHz).
The graphics subsystem is driven by the Arm Mali-G625 MC2 accelerator. The platform operates with fast LPDDR5 RAM (up to 6,400 Mbps) and UFS 3.1 built-in storage.
Smart Features and Artificial Intelligence
In this new release, the developers focused heavily on AI capabilities by integrating the fresh MediaTek NPU 850 processor. Thanks to this unit, smartphones will be able to handle real-time speech-to-text and text-to-speech translation, generate contextual responses, and create summaries of notifications.
Wireless communications are handled by Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.4 modules, alongside an integrated 5G modem featuring the new energy-efficient UltraSave 3.0+ technology.
The Imagiq 1050 multimedia block is now compatible with camera sensors of up to 200 MP resolution and supports 4K HDR video recording.
Video Processing Accelerated Nearly Twofold
The architectural shift delivered a 68% boost in video processing performance compared to the Dimensity 7400.
File transfer speeds also grew by 40%, while app switching accelerated by 30%. Furthermore, game loading now takes 19% less time, and the "cold" launch of software has sped up by 11%.
Processor Release Date
According to GSMArena, the new processor will make its debut in an upcoming flagship from Xiaomi, the Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. There is currently no official confirmation from the company.
In the market, the Dimensity 7500 will compete directly with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 7 lineup, specifically the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, which is also built on Arm architecture.
