New information has emerged about Intel Core Ultra X9 and X7. The new processors will feature Xe3 architecture. A more energy-efficient version of the integrated cores, possibly named Xe3-LPG, will also be available in desktop chips later on.
Insider information about Panther Lake
According to insider information, the top option in the line will be the Ultra X9 388H. Most likely, only ‘X’ processors will have 12 Xe cores, which will only be available in X7 and X9. Other 3_8 models will most likely have 10 Xe3 cores, and 3_6 chips will consist of fewer eGPU cores.
Other sources indicate that the lower-power PTL-U models are designed for a TDP of 15W and will most likely be available in 8- and 6-core versions. Some processors will have 4 LPE cores and 4 high-performance P cores, while other options will consist of 2 LPE cores and 4 P cores. The powerful PTL-H line will scale up to 16 processor cores.
In addition, Intel has also published a video highlighting the advantages and features of Panther Lake. The company promises access to solutions with improved autonomy and performance. Most likely, the launch of the models and the official presentation will take place at CES 2026.
