It was recently announced that negotiations on a $100 billion investment in OpenAI fell apart. The deal was announced back in September 2025, but no concrete progress was made in the negotiations. Both companies are currently reviewing the terms of the partnership.
Intentions regarding investment in OpenAI
At the initial stage of the negotiations, it was reported that the funds would be used to create data centers, with an estimated scale of 10 GW of computing power.
According to new information from the WSJ, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has publicly stated that the company plans to make significant but unspecified investments. A possible option could be investing in OpenAI's current round of financing.
So, both companies are currently reviewing further prospects for cooperation. Nvidia does not plan to end its relationship with OpenAI.
