Samsung Galaxy S26 will become more expensive due to a memory sales contract

Insider sources have revealed that Samsung has rejected a request to supply RAM to its mobile division.
Refusal to supply DRAM chips
Wccftech reported that the Korean tech giant's division (DS) refused to supply the annual volume of DRAM chips for certain Galaxy models. The semiconductor division wants to achieve greater profitability. The price of LPDDR5X has already nearly doubled since the beginning of this year. This decision could result in price increases and complications for the launch of the Galaxy S26.
At this stage, the contract for the supply of DRAM will not be for a year, and the terms will be reviewed quarterly. The situation between the departments has become so tense that Samsung executives had to hold negotiations between them.
A final decision has not yet been reached in the negotiations, and DRAM supplies will only continue until the end of this year. DS may also refuse due to the need to sell products at relevant prices.
The Galaxy S26 is scheduled for release in February next year, and its price increase is obviously inevitable. However, the company's smartphones often become cheaper immediately after release, so it may be worth waiting a little longer.
