Panther Lake processors are not scheduled to be available until next year, but OEM manufacturers are already working with this architecture.

Insider information about the Panther Lake motherboard

Recently, the motherboard was unveiled by DFI, the manufacturer of the popular LanParty series. From the published photo, the motherboard has a Mini-ITX form factor, and the processor is more reminiscent of Panther Lake chips.

It is also known that the motherboard supports a processor TDP of up to 25 W. Given the unusual placement of the connectors and their non-standard set, it will be used for embedded systems or mini-PCs. The board supports up to 128 GB of DDR5 memory. As for slots, there are 2 DDR5 SODIMM slots and M.2 for wireless modems and data storage.

USB Type-C, M2A, DP++, and HDMI 2.0 can be used to connect displays. Most slots are designed for Bluetooth/Wi-Fi or 4G/5G modules, but there is also PCIe Gen5 x4 support.

Additionally, there are up to 3 Ethernet ports. The board can also be used for industrial applications due to EXT-OOB support.
