Puget Systems recently published a report titled “The Most Reliable Hardware of 2025.” The custom computer manufacturer assessed the reliability of components based on failure statistics in its own systems. The data refers to components used in 2025, such as RAM, graphics cards, processors, and motherboards.
Puget Systems Research
According to Puget Systems' research, the Intel Core Ultra 7 265K was the best processor of the previous year. The processor's failure rate was only 0.77%, which was the best result among all models.
AMD Ryzen X3D processors showed higher reliability than Ryzen 9000 series chips. X3D has a fairly low failure rate of only 1.51%. In addition, the company noted that the failure issues were not due to the processors themselves, but rather were related to specific motherboard models.
Among video cards, Nvidia GeForce RTX Founders Edition became the leader. The failure rate was only 0.25%, followed by Asus solutions with a rate of 0.40%. AMD video cards are not mentioned because the company does not use them in its configurations.
Kingston became the leader in the RAM segment, slightly ahead of Micron. The best motherboards were Gigabyte B890M Aorus Elite WiFi6E ICE and Asus TUF B850M-Plus WiFi. The absence of certain brands means that Puget Systems simply does not use them as components.
