How to restrict access to your Account using an IP Access List?
The IP Access List allows you to restrict access to your HostZealot Account to specific IPv4 addresses. When IP restrictions are active, only connections from addresses included in the list are allowed.
This provides an additional layer of security. Even if someone obtains valid login credentials, they cannot access the Account from an IP address that is not allowed.
Note:
The IP Access List currently supports IPv4 addresses only. The restrictions apply to all Users with access to the Account.
Before using the IP Access List
Before restricting access to your Account, consider the following:
- Static IP addresses: Use a static IP address whenever possible. If your Internet provider assigns a dynamic IP address, you may lose access when it changes.
- Other networks: If you access your Account from different locations, including while traveling or working remotely, make sure the required IP addresses are added to the list.
- Other Users: IP restrictions apply to everyone with access to the Account. Make sure the IP addresses used by other Users are also allowed.
- Keeping the list updated: Remove IP addresses you no longer use and add new ones before switching networks whenever possible.
If you lose access to your Account because of IP restrictions, contact HostZealot Support for assistance.
1. Open the IP Access List
- Log in to the HostZealot Client Area.
- Click the profile icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
- In the dropdown menu, select Settings.
- On the Settings page, open the Account Details tab.
- Find the IP Access List section on the right side of the page.

This section allows you to add IPv4 addresses that are permitted to access your Account.
2. Add an IP address
- Open Settings, select Account Details, and find the IP Access List section.
- Enter the IPv4 address you want to allow in the Enter IPv4 address field.
- Click Add IP.
- If a confirmation window appears, review the warning and click Yes to proceed or No to cancel.

The added IP address will appear in the list of allowed addresses.
Attention:
If the IP address you are adding does not match your current IP address, your session will end and you will be logged out. Make sure you can access the Client Area from an allowed IP address before proceeding.
3. Remove an IP address
- Click the profile icon and select Settings.
- Open the Account Details tab and find the IP Access List section.
- Click the × icon next to the IP address you want to remove.
- In the confirmation window, click Yes to remove the address or No to cancel.
The IP address will be removed from the list of allowed addresses.
If you remove all IP addresses from the list, IP-based access restrictions will be disabled, and the Client Area will be accessible from any IP address.
