How to Change Nameservers

To change nameservers for your domain, follow these steps:

1. Go to My Services, then to Domain Names. Select the domain you want to configure and click its name.
   
2. On the domain details page, click Manage Nameservers in the menu on the right.
   
3. Click Edit to change the nameservers.
   
4. Click the current nameserver provider to open the list of available options.
   
5. Select the DNS provider you want to use and click Save.

HostZealot: The domain will use HostZealot's nameservers.

Custom: The domain will use the custom nameservers you specify.

Registrar: The domain will use the registrar's default nameservers.

Note:
DNS changes may take some time to propagate, so the new nameservers may not become active immediately.

How to Register Child Nameservers

Child nameservers let you create nameservers under your own domain name, such as ns1.example.com and ns2.example.com. They are typically used when you run your own DNS infrastructure or provide DNS or hosting services for other domains.

Attention:
Registering a child nameserver only links its hostname to an IP address at the registry level. It does not install or configure a DNS service on that server. For the nameserver to work, a properly configured DNS server (such as BIND or PowerDNS) must be running at that IP address, with the required DNS zones set up on it.

To register a child nameserver:

1. Go to My Services and select Domain Names.
2. Select the domain for which you want to register a child nameserver (medonclub.com in our case) and click its name.
3. On the domain’s page, click Manage Nameservers in the right-side menu.
4. Open the Child Nameservers tab, next to Manage Nameservers.
5. Enter the nameserver hostname (for example, ns1.medonclub.com) and the IP address of the server that will act as the nameserver, then click Register.
6. To add a second nameserver (for example, ns2.medonclub.com), repeat step 5 with a different hostname and IP address.

Once the child nameservers are registered and the DNS server at the specified IP address is configured, you can use them as nameservers for any domain whose DNS zone is hosted on that server.
