A PTR record, also known as reverse DNS (rDNS), associates an IP address with a hostname. It performs the reverse function of a standard DNS record that points a hostname to an IP address.

To create a PTR (rDNS) record for your server:

1. Go to My Services and then to Virtual Servers.
   
   
   
   
2. Select the server you want to configure and click its name.
3. On the server details page, find the IP Addresses section and click RDNS.
   
   
   
   
4. Select the IP address you want to configure and click its row to edit the reverse DNS record. You can also use the Actions Menu (three vertical dots) on the right.
   
   
   
   
5. Enter the hostname (for example, test.myserver.com) in the Reverse DNS field and click Save.
   
   
   
   

Your PTR (rDNS) record has now been created for the selected IP address. It associates the IP address with the hostname you entered in the Reverse DNS field.

Note:
The new record may not become active immediately. DNS changes may take up to 24 hours to propagate.
