Aardvark: A New AI Agent from OpenAI
12:27, 31.10.2025
OpenAI has introduced an AI agent called Aardvark, designed to help developers find and identify vulnerabilities in code. The agent can be connected directly to a project’s repository, where it analyzes the code.
Verification System
Aardvark checks the code twice: once in the code environment and once in an isolated one. This ensures the issue truly exists. After detecting vulnerabilities, it classifies them by risk level, from critical to minor, and suggests ways to fix them.
It’s important to note that Aardvark does not modify or replace the code on its own to avoid confusion.
Test Results
According to early testing, Aardvark demonstrated high efficiency in detecting vulnerabilities in open-source projects. Its findings were reviewed and verified by independent cybersecurity experts.
Currently, the agent is available as a closed beta and is being tested by several partner companies.
