AMD’s RDNA 5 GPUs for Gamers won’t be available until next year

According to the insight information, the release of the new AMD graphics processors will be postponed. Radeon RX 9000 graphics cards were released at the beginning of 2025, but the next generation will most likely appear in the second quarter of 2027.
Expected release dates
During Computex 2026, several graphics card manufacturers shared their predictions regarding possible releases of AMD’s graphics processors. Some expect the AMD RDNA 5 to be released in the second or third quarter of next year, while other AMD partners anticipate the release at the end of next year or even at the beginning of 2028.
Typically, the launch of new graphics cards occurs every two years, but now these time frames are slowly increasing to two and a half or even to three years. This relates not only to AMD, but also to Nvidia, which won’t release new graphics processors until the second half of next year.
Such delays are rather expected ones, because PC components are slowly declining due to the high demand for AI chips. That’s why the consumer market isn’t considered to be at the highest priority.
