According to the recent plans, Apple Foundation Models will be based on Gemini. In this way, future Intelligence features, along with improved Siri, are launching this year.

The negotiations about the usage of the custom Gemini model started in August 2025, when the first information appeared online regarding this topic. At that time, Apple was ready to pay $1 billion a year for this technology.
