Google and Apple are collaborating to enhance AI features, with major Siri upgrades anticipated this year.

According to the recent plans, Apple Foundation Models will be based on Gemini. In this way, future Intelligence features, along with improved Siri, are launching this year.
Apple carefully evaluated current Google AI technology and came to the conclusion that there is a huge potential that can tremendously change the experience of Apple users. That means Apple Intelligence will function on Private Cloud Computer and Apple devices and will continue to support top privacy standards.
The negotiations about the usage of the custom Gemini model started in August 2025, when the first information appeared online regarding this topic. At that time, Apple was ready to pay $1 billion a year for this technology.
