Envision Energy has launched the first phase of the Envision Galaxy Campus computing facility in Ulanqab, Inner Mongolia. Featuring a massive building, occupying 120,000 square meters (equivalent to 20 football fields), the facility is set to become the largest single-building AI data center on the planet.
Integrating Green Energy with High-Performance Computing
The core feature of the project is the direct integration of renewable power generation (wind and solar) with the data center's energy supply. Rather than relying solely on traditional electrical grids, Envision utilizes its proprietary AI Power System with large-scale energy storage, guaranteeing uninterrupted operation for hundreds of thousands of chips without straining public infrastructure.
Company representatives emphasize that the computing density per square meter at the Galaxy Campus is 10 times higher than that of conventional data centers.
The Ambitious Initiative
The launch of the Ulanqab campus is merely the first stage of the broader Envision Mission Gobi global strategy announced in the summer of 2026. Under this program, the company plans to deploy up to 5 GW of green computing capacity in desert and arid regions worldwide by 2030.
The new facility targets hyperscale cloud providers and major tech corporations, demonstrating that future infrastructure design requires the synchronized development of IT hardware and power generation sources.
