Data Storage Reinvented: Longsys Integrates SSD Components into a Single Chip

Longsys has announced the world’s first micro SSD (mSSD) featuring a fully integrated architecture. The new System-in-Package (SiP) technology combines the controller, NAND flash, power management, and other key components into one chip.
This integration increases reliability by nearly tenfold. In addition, the technology reduces manufacturing costs by more than 10%.
Speed Improvements
Despite its compact size, just 20x30x2.0 mm, the new SSD delivers full PCIe Gen 4x4 performance. Sequential read speeds reach up to 7400 MB/s, while write speeds achieve 6500 MB/s.
The drive supports capacities from 512 GB to 4 TB and features a modular design that allows easy adaptation to M.2 2230, 2242, or 2280 formats. Longsys has already begun mass production.
