Intel has introduced a series of processors based on their new architectural solutions. The main feature of the series will be an NPU unit that will provide high performance for artificial intelligence tasks.

Intel Core Ultra 200V (Lunar Lake) processors are designed for lightweight devices such as laptops and small PCs. MSI was one of the manufacturers that wanted to integrate Lunar Lake into the next generation of laptops and portable gaming computers.

Intel Lunar Lake processors are based on the TSMC N3B and TSMC N6 technology nodes. They will feature a new CPU architecture consisting of 4 Lion Cove cores and 4 E-Core Skymont cores, as well as the NPU4 AI Engine, which provides performance up to 48 TOPS.

Intel Core Ultra 9 288V will be the flagship of the line. This processor has 8 cores and 8 threads, 12 MB of cache memory, and a maximum NPU performance of 48 TOPS. The Intel Core Ultra 9 288V will have a base consumption of 30W PL1 and will be the only chip in the lineup with this feature. Other processors based on the Lunar Lake architecture are rumored to be under development, so their specifications are not yet known.

In addition to the already announced processors, new ones will be added in the form of four Core Ultra 7 and four Ultra 5. They will have 16 or 32 GB of integrated LPDDR5-8533 memory and 7 or 8 cores.

Intel has officially announced that the Intel Core Ultra 200V (Lunar Lake) series processors will be available in September, and they are expected to receive Microsoft Copilot+ feature updates shortly after launch.
