Intel is preparing to release the Core Ultra 3 205, the first 200-series processor in the Core Ultra lineup. It was spotted in the database of French retailer PC21, where it is priced at €155 including VAT (about $141).
This model will be the most budget-friendly representative of the new Arrow Lake generation, aimed at users who want to switch to the new LGA-1851 platform without significant costs.
Specifications and Configuration
According to information from marketplaces and leaked internal documentation, the Core Ultra 3 205 will have 8 cores in a 4P+4E configuration (four high-performance and four energy-efficient), a base frequency of 3.8 GHz, and support for the latest Intel technologies. This is the minimum configuration in the Arrow Lake lineup, which still provides sufficient performance for everyday tasks.
When to Consider Purchasing
Despite the attractive price of the processor, the LGA-1851 platform is still new, which means that even budget components for it are currently more expensive than their counterparts for previous generations. Nevertheless, the Core Ultra 3 205 may be a rational choice for office systems, educational PCs, and multimedia stations.
