Intel Prepares Powerful Processors for Gaming Laptops
11:49, 23.06.2026
Intel plans to use the Raptor Lake Next architecture in the mobile segment. According to reports from insider Jaykihn, the new chip lineup will appear within the high-performance HX series. There is currently no word on models for thinner and more energy-efficient laptops (the H, P, and U series).
Different Versions of the Core 200 Series
The Raptor Lake Next processors will hit the market under the commercial name Core 200 (without the "Ultra" branding). The insider revealed the key specifications for three upcoming configurations:
- Core 9 (Flagship) will feature a maximum 24-core configuration, consisting of 8 performance (P) cores and 16 efficient (E) cores.
- Core 7 (Higher-tier version) will have 8 performance and 12 efficient cores.
- Core 7 (Lower-tier version) will be equipped with a layout of 6 P-cores and 8 E-cores.
A Bet on Gamers, Not Business
A crucial detail from the leak is the lack of support within the lineup for corporate vPro technologies and the SIPP (Stable IT Platform Program). This indicates that Intel does not plan to push Raptor Lake Next into the business sector.
The entire lineup is fundamentally being built for the consumer market, targeted for use in gaming laptops, portable workstations, and similar systems.
