Qualcomm Announced Snapdragon C Specifications

Recently, Qualcomm revealed some specifications regarding Snapdragon C. The new ARM-based platform was already announced in June.

Latest Updates on Snapdragon C

As now revealed, Snapdragon C is an 8-core Qualcomm Kryo processor with a max multi-core clock speed of 2 GHz and a max single-core speed of 3 GHz. For the optimization of performance and power consumption, these 8 cores function at various max clock speeds. Also, it features a Qualcomm Hexagon neural processor and Adreno graphics processor.  

When comparing Snapdragon C with Acer TravelMate, which is based on Intel N250 processors with 8 GB of RAM, battery performance is claimed to be almost 67 % higher than in Intel N250, with energy efficiency 2.1 times higher. The company has not yet revealed its test results.

In the Cinebench test, the system had 67% higher performance in multi-threaded mode and 50% higher in the single-threaded mode. However, the most noticeable results are considered to be in Speedometer and Geekbench 3.1 tests with +39%.  

Asus, HP, Lenovo, and Acer will produce laptops based on this new system. The first laptop based on the system has already been presented, but there is no information regarding the price or release date.
