Radeon RX 9060 XT: AMD Reveals Mid-Range GPU With PCIe 5.0 and Up to 16GB of Memory

At Computex 2025, AMD has unveiled a new mid-range graphics card, the Radeon RX 9060 XT, which promises to be a popular choice among gamers and content creators thanks to its combination of performance, modern interface, and affordable price.
The RX 9060 XT is the third addition to the Radeon RX 9000 series, following the already released RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT. Unlike them, the new product is aimed at the $299-$349 segment, but retains modern technologies, including support for PCIe 5.0 x16, which is still rare in this class.
Features
Despite being positioned as a mid-range solution, the Radeon RX 9060 XT has a Boost frequency of up to 3.13 GHz, which is even higher than the older RX 9070 model. The graphics card is based on the Navi 44 GPU manufactured on TSMC's 4nm N4P process, with a monolithic design, 199 mm² chip area, and 29.7 billion transistors.
What is particularly interesting is that the GPU has a full PCIe 5.0 x16 interface, which can give an advantage in modern systems, even if they are still running on PCIe 4.0.
AMD is offering the RX 9060 XT in two configurations: 8GB GDDR6 (TDP 150W) and 16GB GDDR6 (TDP 182W). Both versions use a 128-bit memory bus. This approach refutes previous rumors that AMD would “hold off” on a model with less memory.
Price and Launch Date
Radeon RX 9060 XT will go on sale on June 5, 2025. The cost of the 8 GB model is $299, and of the 16 GB model — $349.
Against the backdrop of rising flagship prices and limitations in the budget segment (including from NVIDIA), RX 9060 XT looks like a competitive option with a new process, modern PCIe 5.0 x16 bus, and real memory options.
