Team Group has introduced a new solid-state drive for mission-critical environments. M.2 2280 PCIe Gen4 NVMe gives users access to quick memory chip destruction at the push of a button or through secure data deletion.
The data destruction function (S/W Quick Erase) takes approximately 5-10 seconds to complete. According to the manufacturer's warranty, this option is suitable for repeated use. If the red button supplied with the drive is pressed, the process cannot be stopped. Even if the power supply is lost for some reason, the erasure process will continue as soon as it is restored.
S/W Quick Erase or the hardware destruction function works by utilizing a high-voltage breakdown and disables the flash memory. During the destruction process, you can see clouds of smoke. To initiate this process, hold the button for 10 seconds. In this case, repairing the device will be impossible or very costly.
This solid-state drive from Team Group has MIL-STD-202G shock resistance, MIL-STD 810G vibration resistance, a 3-year warranty, and a storage temperature range of -55°C to +95°C.
