Western Digital has released an SSD drive, its weight ranges from 12 to 15 kilograms and the capacity is 368 TB. To transport the Ultrastar Transporter the company created a special system on wheels.
If we talk about the characteristics of the new drive, it has an Xeon 4310 with 12 cores, has a RAM of 128 GB, and has access to SSDs via NVMe.
The new drive has been specifically designed for transferring information in situations where network connectivity is too slow or costly.
At maximum power consumption, the device uses approximately 1300 watts. The drive connects via 200GbE.
WD also announced the release of SanDisk Extreme PRO SDUC UHS-1, the first 4TB SD card. The product is scheduled to be released next year.
