The End of the “Ti” Era: NVIDIA Halts Production of 16 GB Models

According to reports from official partners and technical experts, NVIDIA has decided to discontinue the production of key graphics card models with increased memory capacity.
Confirmation from ASUS and Hardware Unboxed
According to the analytical channel Hardware Unboxed, the “Ti” series of graphics cards has officially been declared discontinued. This information was also confirmed by NVIDIA’s main partner, ASUS. The company will no longer produce new batches of RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5070 Ti with 16 GB of memory.
All units currently available in retail stores represent the final remaining stock.
Back to 8 GB
Models with 8 GB of memory are expected to replace the 16 GB graphics cards. This decision has sparked a wave of criticism among gamers, as such GPUs no longer meet the requirements of modern games. As a result, users seeking high performance from their GPU are put in an uncomfortable position: either buy outdated 8 GB solutions or overpay for flagship models.
At the same time, despite the simplified specifications, prices for lower-end models continue to rise due to the ongoing global semiconductor crisis.
Cancellation of the RTX 50 Super Series
The future of the RTX 50 Super lineup has also come into serious question. According to preliminary information, the project may be canceled entirely.
It is worth noting that the main advantage of the Super series was supposed to be an increased amount of video memory, but under current conditions, the company has deemed such a move “economically unviable.”
