First benchmark results in Geekbench 7 for the new Medusa Point mobile processor are giving insights into the Zen 6 architecture.
Geekbench 7 benchmark results
According to the results, a 10-core sample gets 18,313 points in multi-core testing and 3,100 points in single-core testing. Such benchmark scores indicate that Medusa Point has outperformed Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 9 9950X, and 9 9900X. However, it loses to Ryzen 7 9850X3D and 9 9950X3D2.
Also, Medusa Point is closer to the scores of the Ryzen AI MAX PRO 390, where it lags behind the PRO only by 1.2%.
During the testing, a 10-core, 20-thread mobile processor model was used on a Lenovo test bench. This is a new engineering sample, because in July there were already contact checks on another one. In Geekbench 6, Medusa Point gets 16,555 in multi-core and 3,329 in single-core testing.
The new sample has a max frequency of 1,996 MHz and a base of 2.0 GHz. Medusa Point should be part of the next-generation Ryzen mobile processor lineup.
