Preliminary test results for the Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 processor appeared even before its release. A page about this flagship processor, which will be the first of its kind with two 3D V-Cache modules, recently became available on HWBOT. The release is currently scheduled for April 22.
Performance Test Results
Results are available for 4 performance tests. For example, the score in the Cinebench 2026 CPU Multi-Thread test in single-core mode was 746 points, while in multi-core mode it was recorded at 9,246 points. Performance metrics in the 7-Zip test were recorded at 227,919 MIPS. In the Cinebench R23 Multi-Core test, the processor scored 38,579 points.
Power consumption reached 220 W in Cinebench R23 and 216 W in Cinebench 2026, with the highest temperature recorded at 95-96 °C.
The only limitation was the cooling system, the specifications of which are currently unknown. However, the cooling capacity proved insufficient, given that two CCD chips need to be cooled.
