AX Gaming has announced the X3W Max series of graphics cards based on NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series graphics processors. All models feature a sleek white case with a three-slot cooling system and three fans — a solution that is perfect for modern minimalist and future-tech builds. But the key feature of the line is a new power supply system.

Hidden Cable and Magnetic Cover

In response to frequent complaints about the RTX 50 overheating, AX Gaming offers a fresh approach. The 12VHPWR power connector in the new graphics cards is recessed into the case and located closer to the center of the board. Along with this, the manufacturer has developed a special L-shaped cable that runs along the radiator and is covered with a removable magnetic cover. This solution allows you to hide the wires and create a neater appearance, especially in cases with a transparent side panel.

Although it is not yet known how the cable is connected to the power supply, it can be assumed that standard eight-pin adapters or a proprietary solution are used. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed these details.

Three Models at Launch and Moderate Factory Overclocking

The series includes three models: RTX 5080 X3W Max, RTX 5070 Ti X3W Max, and RTX 5070 X3W Max.

The flagship RTX 5090D was not included in the series, probably due to export restrictions and possible rebalancing of its characteristics by Nvidia.

All cards have been factory overclocked slightly, 2-3% above Nvidia's reference frequencies. Power consumption figures are in line with official specifications, but AX Gaming recommends using more powerful power supplies than those listed in the manuals:

  • 5080 X3W Max — from 850 W
  • 5070 Ti X3W Max — from 800 W
  • 5070 X3W Max — from 750 W

Functional Design

The X3W Max series is not just about power. It's about attention to detail, aesthetics, and comfort during assembly. The hidden power supply with a magnetic cover is not only a design feature but also a practical solution that can change the approach to cable management.
