A board aimed at enterprise customers for use in extreme environments has been introduced by Raspberry Pi. Compute Module 4 features a significantly extended operating temperature range.
The standard specifications of the board have a range of functioning between -20 and +85 °C. This range is quite standard, and it is enough for the realization of the required projects. But at the same time some users complained about unstable operation at low temperatures.
Operating temperature of the board with extended range
To eliminate the problem, the company has developed a board with an operating temperature in the range of -40 to +85 °C. The basic components remained the same, with the main changes being the use of eMMC and SDRAM. With the help of that, work at much lower temperatures became possible.
Popular models can be easily ordered from the company's partners. Other available versions of the module with different memory capacities can be purchased directly from Raspberry Pi, and of course, you need to agree on the quantity of the batch.
