Dimensity 9400e from MediaTek - a chip with Wi-Fi 7 and ray tracing

MediaTek presented a new powerful mobile processor at the OnePlus Game Strategic Communication conference. Considering the chip characteristics, it is a slightly improved version of the Dimensity 9300+ chip.

Dimensity 9400e specifications

The processor is based on TSMC's 3rd generation 4nm process technology. The chip is characterized by a super-powerful Arm Cortex-X4 core, 3 Cortex-X4 cores, and 4 Cortex-A720 cores. The 12-core Immortalis-G720 GPU is used for high-quality graphics processing. In addition, support for Adaptive Control 2.0, Star Speed Engine, and Dimensity Frame Double Technology 2.0+ is announced.

Another important feature is the NPU 790 unit that supports the Development AI kit and NeuroPilot. The new product also works with such language models as LLaVA-1.5 7B and DeepSeek-R1-Distill.

Moreover, it supports UFS 4+MCQ storage and LPDDR5X RAM. With all the current specifications, it is clear that the product is focused on generative AI tasks and guarantees impressive performance in games.
