Lisuan Technology has unveiled the 7G106 card with a 6nm GPU. The new graphics card is a good alternative to other popular brands, but there is one drawback: it does not support ray tracing.
Specifications of the 6nm 7G106 graphics card
Because of the presentation, many characteristics of the G100 graphics card are known. The GPU is called 7G106 and consists of 192 texture pipelines, 48 compute units, and 96 ROPs. The maximum theoretical performance can reach 24 TFLOPS.
The 7G106 chip runs on the new TrueGPU architecture. There is also support for many APIs. DirectX 12 is also on the API list, but it does not support ray tracing.
More information about the VRAM subsystem has emerged. Its capacity is 12 GB, the standard is GDDR6, and the bus width is 192 bits. In addition, during the presentation, the availability of a professional 24 GB video card was announced. As for external ports, HDMI will be absent, replaced by four DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC 1.2b.
The 7G106 supports GPU virtualization (vGPU) with up to 16 virtual containers. Power is supplied via a PCI-Express connector, and the maximum power consumption can reach 225 W.
Mass production is currently expected to start in September of this year. No information is available at this time regarding the price and specific date of sale.
