New from PassMark: Ryzen 7 9700X3D and powerful AI MAX+ APUs
14:34, 06.11.2025
AMD is likely expanding its processor lineup. This became known from the PassMark database, which featured mentions of the gaming chip Ryzen 7 9700X3D with 3D V-Cache technology, and the hybrid processors Ryzen AI MAX+ 388 and 392.
Features of Ryzen 7 9700X3D
The Ryzen 7 9700X3D is expected to be an 8-core chip in the series, likely with lower clock speeds compared to the flagship 9800X3D. Rumors suggest it will feature 8 cores/16 threads and 96 MB of L3 cache. Although the PassMark results currently show the chip as faster than the 9800X3D, this data is not yet adapted to real-world conditions.
About Ryzen AI MAX+
The Ryzen AI MAX+ 388 and 392 are hybrid processors with potentially integrated Radeon 8060S graphics featuring 40 Compute Units (CUs). The "+" sign itself may indicate full-fledged graphics. Despite having less computational power than some flagships, they will boast excellent graphical performance. The 8-core Model 388 is similar to the existing 385 but with an improved GPU. Since the product numbers in PassMark are usually confirmed by a market release, the information is considered quite accurate.
