NVIDIA RTX 60: first information about the release and processor
13:30, 08.01.2026
The NVIDIA RTX 60 will be based on the new Vera Rubin architecture, but its release may be slightly delayed.
Details about NVIDIA RTX 60
Insider information has revealed that the Rubin chip will be used in the RTX 60 series graphics cards. It is also expected that the GR20x template will be utilized as the basis for marking the processors of the new graphics cards. Until now, nothing was known about the architecture of the new generation, but Rubin seemed like the obvious choice.
Unused hardware blocks specific to graphics were found in the Rubin CPX accelerator chips. In this case, we are talking about characteristics that could potentially increase performance by 30 percent. Therefore, if the same 3nm process from TSMC is used to produce chips for new gaming graphics cards, then a significant performance improvement can be expected.
The release is scheduled for the second half of 2027, but it is not yet clear whether this refers to the release of actual graphics cards or a presentation. If NVIDIA plans to release actual graphics cards in 2027, the new product may be presented at the beginning of the year with a delayed launch.
