Orange Pi has released a new single-board computer model called 6 Plus. The project is designed for users seeking enhanced capabilities for AI applications.
Features of Orange Pi 6 Plus
The 6 Plus runs on a 12-core system with LPDDR5 memory (32, 16, or 64 GB). This amount of RAM is very unusual for single-board PCs. This makes the new product a good choice not only for hobbies, but also for certain professional tasks.
The system includes an SD card reader for users who prefer a more traditional approach to system installation. It also supports M.2 2280 SSDs for enhanced storage performance.
The new computer was created to work with AI, so it has an NPU with a performance of up to 45 TOPS. For such a compact model, this is a very good result, which will allow you to run AI models without connecting to the cloud.
For example, the 6 Plus can be used for autonomous environmental monitoring and real-time surveillance without the need for a powerful server.
The new product also has two Ethernet ports, two USB 2.0 Type-A, USB Type-C, two USB 3.0, DisplayPort, HDMI, and eDP. Everything is compactly placed on a fairly small board and is compatible with many cooling systems.
