Price increase for AMD graphics cards and processors

On December 1, AMD raised wholesale prices for chips, with the changes directly affecting Ryzen 9000 and older models. Prices in stores will change gradually as inventory is updated.
Insider information about the price increase
Several sources simultaneously confirmed the price increase, with Overclock3D being the first to report it. The price adjustment took place at the distributor level, so that the old price will remain on the market for now. However, after the previous batch is sold, prices will increase.
AMD has not yet commented on the reasons for the price increase. But there are already some assumptions about the rise in the cost of production plates and even the return of margins after a period of discounts. There is also no confirmed information about the level of price increases for models yet. But the level of price growth varies between models.
The growth will also affect AMD graphics cards, with 8GB models rising by $20 and 16GB models by $40. These changes may take effect by the end of this year. The increase may affect the Radeon line from RDNA 4 to older series.
The second wave of increases could be around 10% across all GPUs. If the predictions are confirmed, building a PC with AMD could become significantly more expensive.
