16:01, 28.10.2025
AMD has released the Radeon AI Pro R9700 graphics card, outperforming Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5080 in AI tasks.
Flagship for Workstations
AMD has officially introduced and launched the professional Radeon AI Pro R9700 graphics card, whose release had been delayed since July. The card is positioned as a product for developers and researchers in the field of AI.
One of the key features of the R9700 is its large 32 GB of GDDR6 memory, which, according to the company, significantly boosts performance. Thanks to this, the card surpasses Nvidia’s RTX 5080 in handling large AI language models.
Specifications and Price
The R9700 is based on the RDNA 4 architecture and uses the Navi 48 XTW GPU. It has a base clock speed of 1660 MHz (up to 2920 MHz in Boost mode) and a power consumption of 300 W (via a single 16-pin connector).
According to AMD, the R9700 can bring workstation performance to data center levels, allowing complex computations to be performed directly on a PC.
Radeon AI Pro R9700 went on sale in the U.S. on October 27 at a price of $1300. The card is expected to launch globally by the end of the year.
