11:42, 08.11.2023

According to a Korean resource Pulse, Samsung Electronics has developed a plan to raise NAND prices by 20% each quarter til the second quarter of 2024. The purpose of this strategy is to increase revenues and stabilize the market.

NAND and DRAM chips comprise around half of Samsung's memory chip sales.

In this way, Samsung chips are expected to become 44% more expensive by the end of 2024.

Nevertheless, all SSDs aren’t going to become more expensive, the eventual price of SSDs is set by the storage device providers, which usually get a significant discount from chip manufacturers. But there should be a general increase in SSD prices of at least 10-15%.
