According to the insider information available at the moment, it has become clear that Microsoft Surface 2026 devices will receive the ARM Soundwave chip. It is also known that PS6 will receive the AMD Zen 6 chip.
Why is ARM Soundwave being developed?
ARM Soundwave is being developed for the future Microsoft Surface line. At this stage, Microsoft tablets and laptops are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon X, and these processors have certain performance and compatibility issues. Therefore, there is a great perspective that AMD's chip will perform much better.
According to unconfirmed information, the new chip is likely based on the 3 nm process and will be compatible with the FF5 socket.
As for the release of Zen 6, according to preliminary information, it is scheduled for 2026.
