AMD processors are steadily advancing in the market with a 40% share
12:11, 05.08.2025
Gradually, the share of AMD processors on Steam is growing, and the latest figures show that more than forty percent of players have AMD chips. At the same time, Intel is gradually losing its position.
Reasons for AMD's growth
Over the past month, Intel has lost almost 0.75%, while AMD is obviously growing in its percentage share. The reason for this growth is desktop processors, which have been pushing out competitors in the market for almost a year. In addition, AMD is also growing steadily in the portable console market. Another possible success factor was the ability to install SteamOS on some AMD devices. So Intel still holds its leadership position exclusively through the laptop segment.
In addition, some analysts see significant potential for AMD to grow AI revenue in the next fiscal year. The main forecast is that revenue from AI GPUs could reach $15.1 billion in 2026.
