Recently, it was announced that OpenAI is releasing a browser with a built-in AI assistant.
Features of the new ChatGPT Atlas browser
The new browser has a number of AI features that allow you to perform individual tasks, get answers from the assistant in each tab, and search your history with access to user-customized memory. For example, the assistant can fill out the necessary form or book a table.
The browser's main screen is identical to ChatGPT, and you can open a chat and ask the assistant questions on any page.
At this stage, the browser is only available for macOS users, but versions for Android, iOS, and Windows will be available soon. The installer can be downloaded from the official website, and the process is fairly intuitive. After installation, log in to your ChatGPT account and give the application access to your disk to transfer settings.
A big bonus is that the new browser has a single subscription with ChatGPT. So, if you already use OpenAI, there is no need to pay extra to use the browser.
