Django 5.0 Release

The release of Django 5.0 was on the 4th of December 2023. This new version of the Python framework was launched almost 2 years after the 4.0 version. This newly released version is accessible in the Python packages catalog so anyone can easily get it.

As for now, the older 4.2 version won’t be getting general support. If speaking about the 4.1 Django, it will receive extended updates. If you want to get more detailed information about the supported versions or the list of future releases, all the data is accessible on the download page.   

There are a couple of new and improved features that can help developers to create better apps. For instance, the function "field group and field group templates" is extremely helpful for the optimization of the rendering process of linked elements in the Django form field and simplification of the form construction.

The new version of Django supports Python 3.10 - 3.12. The earlier versions of Python (3.8/3.9) are no longer supported by Django 5.0.
