SSD failure due to Windows 11 update could not be reproduced

Some users have recently reported issues with SSD failure. However, after certain tests, neither Windows nor the manufacturer of controllers, Phison, was able to reproduce this situation.
At the end of August this year, reports began to emerge that the new Windows update was affecting write performance for files larger than 50 GB.
Investigation into the circumstances of the malfunction
Following these reports, Windows responded to the situation, and employees conducted a week-long investigation. The company stated that the update was unrelated to the situation.
Most users claimed that the situation affected how drives handled cache, with models with Phison controllers and without DRAM being the most affected. Controllers from other brands also experienced failures. Most drives resumed functioning after rebooting.
This case is not very common, but due to the general publicity, the company had to respond. Phison conducted 4,500 hours of testing and was also unable to reproduce a similar failure. However, they recommended that users with heavy data storage loads use heat sinks.
According to Microsoft's report, there is no specific link between the latest update and the drive failures. The company also stated that no users with this issue had contacted technical support.
