Recently, Chinese company Zhaoxin unveiled new processors with 96 cores and an operating frequency of up to 3 GHz.
Kaisheng KH-50000 and KaiXian KX-7000N processors
Two new models were presented at the WAIC 2025 conference. Kaisheng KH-50000 is more focused on the needs of the server market segment, while KaiXian KX-7000N is more suitable for AI tasks in consumer PCs.
The KH-50000 model features 96 cores and an operating frequency of up to 3 GHz. The number of cores has tripled compared to the previous version, the KH-40000. There is no information about SMT support yet, but if it is present, the new model will be on par with the AMD EPYC 9004. Other features of the KH-50000 include 128 PCIe 5.0 lanes, 384 MB of L3 cache, and 2-channel DDR5 RAM.
The KX-7000N, in turn, differs from the previous version in its built-in NPU block. All that is known is that it is the first chip with a neural processor and has a PCIe 5.0 interface; other specifications are currently unknown.
